*UPDATE*

Our little Tate is thriving with all the love one could experience! We have learned from Tate’s specialist that his condition was likely caused by a dog bite that had so much power that it was able to break the top palate of his mouth and it destroyed all of the bone in his snout. He has had his reconstructive surgery and should be on his way to being adopted soon! Stay tuned for more updates on this strong little man!!

Sweet little Tate (FKA Count Chocula) is facing one of the most severe cases of dental neglect we’ve ever seen. He’s missing several teeth, and due to what appears to be an untreated abscess, there is now a hole in the roof of his mouth leading into his nasal cavity. He will need surgery to repair this, along with the removal of the rest of his teeth. On top of that, he has severe bone loss and is both deaf and blind (though we’re still unsure if it’s partial or complete).
