Lexi

7yo, F, 46lb German Shepherd Mix

*UPDATE 12/16/25*
Lexi (FKA Slush) was dropped off to our vet Dr Johnson and she said her mammary chain mass is very complex and necrotic 😭😭
Poor girl had to be suffering for so long!! We have an estimate for today’s surgery $1542 on the high side.
This is more expensive than we had been expecting, and is going to completely wipe us out! Plus we have two more surgeries this week (Juliette and Simon) so any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Please donate and share if you can 🙏🙏🙏

On Dec. 11th 2025, we rushed to pick up Slush (new name coming soon!) from MCACC. She was running a 105° fever, hadn’t eaten in two days, and they were terrified she was fading fast.
We got her straight into Sun City West Animal Hospital (thank you, Dr. Young!), and thankfully her bloodwork was mostly okay. But her mass is enormous, leaking, and so infected that it’s making it hard for her to even walk. Dr. Young was able to drain some fluid and we’ve started stronger antibiotics, fever meds, and an appetite booster.
Through all of this, she was so gentle—leaning in for pets, giving kisses, just wanting love despite everything she’s been carrying. She’s now safe in her foster home, finally resting. ❤️
Her surgery to remove the mass is already scheduled, and we’re praying this is the start of her new life. If you’re able, please consider donating toward her surgery and care. This girl has fought so hard, and she deserves the chance to feel good again! 💕💕
