We saw a plea from PAC911 for a sweet senior Chihuahua named Oreo. His family was being deported, and Oreo was facing surrender to MCACC. Sadly, placement wasn’t found in time, and he did end up at the shelter.
Because of his age, severe dental disease, arthritis, and back/hip issues, Oreo was quickly placed on the euthanasia list. We noticed him right away and started searching for a foster. As his deadline got closer and closer, we were terrified we would run out of time. But the night before Oreo was scheduled to be euthanized, an AMAZING foster stepped up for him. ❤️
Oreo will see Dr. Johnson at Sun City West Animal Hospital so we can get a full assessment of his medical needs and start giving him the care and comfort he deserves.
Our hearts break for the family Oreo lost, and the possibility that they may never know he is safe. We can’t imagine how painful this situation has been for them. But we promise Oreo that from this point forward, he will be loved, protected, cozy, and cared for every single day.
And judging by these photos from his foster home… we think he already knows he’s safe. 🐾❤️
