Adopt a Dog

Chester

5yo, M, 8lb Chihuahua

*Update
Chester and Pita have been through more than any dog ever should. After losing their foster dad suddenly and being displaced, these two sweet souls are now searching for a quiet, patient furrever home where they can finally rest, decompress, and feel safe again.
They are deeply bonded and must stay together. They rely on each other for comfort, confidence, and security.

Meet Chester & Pita:

Chester
5–6 years old | ~10 lbs
Blind (both eyes have been removed) but full of love. Chester is gentle and sweet, though he can feel nervous in new environments with unfamiliar dogs. Pita is his guide and his safe place. He prefers to spend his days close to her — playing, cuddling, and just being together.

Pita
5 years old | ~10 lbs
Chocolate brown Chihuahua, shy at first but incredibly loving once she feels safe. Pita gains confidence from Chester and helps him navigate the world. She warms up quickly in calm, reassuring environments.

Together:
• Bonded pair – must stay together
• Doggy-door trained
• Sweet, gentle, and affectionate
• Best suited for a quiet, low-traffic home.
• Need patience, calm energy, and time to decompress

These two don’t need perfection — they just need someone willing to open their heart and home while they heal from everything they’ve lost. Do you have what it takes to give this wonderfully sweet and amazing couple their furever home?🤍*

Chester was scheduled to be euthanized on 10/27/25 due to his vision problems, when I met him at his kennel it was obvious this guy had a lot of life still left in him. Despite having one eye, and a bad cataract in the other- Chester maneuvers just fine. He now has 4 other foster siblings to show him the ropes. He and his new best friend Pita (who was also on the elist last month) love playing together!

Chester is going to need medical care for his ongoing vision issues and a senior panel and likely dental. If you’d like to donate towards Chester’s care it’s greatly appreciated 🙏
