Bear, previously named Jimmy during his stay at MCACC came to us from the euthanasia list at the end of March. He was in awful shape, matted and dirty with a mouth full of rotten teeth and a high grade heart murmur.  Bear has settled into his fosters home, and is proving to be a happy dog who is gaining confidence every day. Initial blood testing showed that Bear has  beginning stage kidney disease, for which he is on prescription food. He is scheduled for an echocardiogram that will tell us more about his heart condition, to ensure that he is healthy enough to provide a much needed dental surgery.
